RV details and tow searches
To increase the details renters have about your RV and attract more qualified renters, up to 15 new fields have been added to the RV Details page depending on the type of RV you have. To save you time, RVshare will use manufacturer data and the year, manufacturer, make and model of your RV to populate as many of these fields as we can. It is up to you to confirm the populated information and complete the rest of the fields so the information can be displayed to renters on the listing details page.
In the future this information will be used to help improve the renter experience on the site. For example, renters will be able to enter their vehicle type and filter search results to only display trailers that their vehicle can tow.
Update your RV Details now in your Dashboard by going to Listings > Edit Listing > RV Details
Improved Delivery
For owners looking to attract new renters and lower the risk of potential damage, you can now set delivery fees for custom mileage ranges and popular locations. These options will be displayed to renters on the RV listing details page as well as in the checkout flow, making it easier than ever for renters to choose delivery.
Adding delivery is easy. Once you add your delivery details, be sure to remove any optional fees for delivery you set up in the past.
Coming Soon: More insurance options for renters
To improve the insurance coverage offered to renters, two upgraded coverage options will soon be offered in the checkout flow:
- Standard coverage (current coverage, no changes) – $1,500 deductible, basic comprehensive coverage for collision, weather and theft. For motorhomes, up to $100K in liability coverage depending on the state is included.
- Enhanced coverage – $1,000 deductible, basic comprehensive coverage plus protection for broken glass, animal contact, etc. For motorhomes, up to $100K in liability coverage depending on the state is included.
- Premier coverage – $500 deductible, basic comprehensive coverage plus protection for broken glass, animal contact, etc. For motorhomes, up to $300K in liability coverage is included.
For rentals with lower deductibles, you have the option to lower your security deposit to help secure the booking.
For owners with RVs older than 15 years
For owners with drivable RVs that are older than 15 years of age, we are now providing liability only insurance coverage. If you have an older RV already on the site, visit the Rental Insurance page in your RVshare dashboard and click the yellow Activate Insurance button. If you are creating a new listing eligible for liability only coverage, it will be automatically added to your RV and applied to bookings.
